Makira helped Warehouse One migrate key data to the parent company’s SaaS environment, including transactions and historical sales. By validating transformations in Test, the cutover to Production was smooth and low-risk, resulting in a fast, reliable data merge.

Project Goals

Migrate data from the customer's on-premise environment, to the parent company's SaaS environment.

The scope of the data included Master Data, open transaction data (ie. Purchase Orders), and 2-3 years of historical sales and on-hand data.

Deliverables

Provide thorough analysis to determine where there are conflicts.

Create business rules to resolve data conflicts, and add mappings so that data can come in uniquely without losing any reference in the old system.

Build the transformations to import the data into the test environment.

Outcomes

By building transformations to run during the Test process, the cutover to the Production environment was streamlined.

The result was an efficient and reliable data merge process.

High probability of no data exceptions during cutover as the process was already fully executed in Test.
